The Family Enrichment Center (FEC) provides a gateway through which the community can access multiple services
and agencies at one site. With your help, we can increase our partner agencies' ability to focus on what matters most, enriching lives.
All proceeds from the Gourmet Gala event will support facility management and shared services to increase each agency’s efficiency and
allow more time and resources to accomplish their mission.

The 2015 Gourmet Gala at the FEC
By Ozaukee Magazine Staff | Mar 3, 2015

This past Friday, February 27th, the Family Enrichment Center of Grafton hosted its second annual Gourmet Galato benefit all of the helpful agencies that in the FEC’s location, including, Big Brothers Big Sisters of OzaukeeCOPE ServicesEnergy ServicesIndependence FirstInterfaith Caregivers of OzaukeeOzaukee Economic SupportOzaukee Family ServicesVolunteer Center, and the Habitat for Humanity

Gourmet Gala

This year had a 15% increase in attendance, live piano music, and beautiful lighting provided by over 70 professional grade colored lanterns set up for the event. These touches increased the festive mood over last for everyone in attendance including the volunteers, staff, board, and other lucky ever goers.

The best parts of the Gourmet Gala earned even higher marks this year including the wine pull raffle and gift give-away on the red carpet. While those activities were fun for those than won, it was the food and wine pairings that make this event stand out as a “can’t miss” event. Culinary pairings were set up at various “stations” through out the center.

Featured Chefs included founders of the The Cheel, Dale Curley of Larry’s Market, Chef Tim of Shully’s Cuisine, and Donna Erickson of From Scratch Catering. Wine was generously paired to all dishes and poured by The Glass Palette.

R. Bradley Thompson, Ozaukee Magazine’s Publisher, attended again this year saying, “I came last year and loved it but this year really took the cake. You couldn’t have made better use of the space and filled it with greater people. The addition of lights, P.A. and live music really brought everything together. I thought Reine (Rathke) ran a terrific event and everything was top notch. My personal favorite part was seeing Tom “Mel” Stanton (of Mel’s Pigroast Benefit) and his good friend Ross. Ross (pictured) directly benefits from what the FEC does, make life better for people that live and work in Ozaukee County.”

Ozaukee Magazine congratulates the FEC on another banner year and thanks you for all you do for Ozaukee County!
